Hi Backers!

You might have already seen tracking info in your inbox (or maybe even already gotten your books and more). I wanted to post one final update to let you know that everything is packaged, a small handful of packages are waiting for the post office pickup on Monday, and then we are done!

A few final things as you wait for books and pins to arrive:

Tracking information:

Please look for shipment information in your inbox from BackerKit. Your email should include a tracking number for your package.

Order Help?

I'll be keeping an eye on tracking this next week, and either I or my virtual assistant Julie will help to tackle any questions or concerns that might come up.  Please don't hesitate to reach out via email if you need us!

• No shipping email? You might be one of the few packages going out on Monday. Please allow 24hrs for the system to update and for BackerKit to send your email. If you still don't see anything by Wednesday, May 24th at the latest feel free to reach out so I can get that information to you.
• For package delivery issues, contact your local post office or mail service for faster assistance. Often they can provide an answer faster than I can, as I'll likely need to go through them as well.
• Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is another issue with your order. As a solo shipping operation here in the studio, I take extra care in packaging Kickstarter orders, but mistakes still happen. I am committed to making things right for you. <3

Surveys

For those who have not yet completed the BackerKit survey to provide their shipping information, please note that the surveys will be available until June 25th. If you have not submitted your survey yet, kindly do so and I will promptly send your package.

Surveys (+A look at the pins)

Hi Backers,

I hope this update finds you well. 

Today I've got a few things I wanted to update you on in regard to this project:

Surveys

This morning I sent out all the surveys. Please check your email (and spam) for the survey email from BackerKit. I'll be collecting addresses and plan to begin shipping out books and pins this next week in small waves.

Right now I plan to begin locking your orders for shipment on Monday as I receive your responses (BackerKit will give you a 48hr notice when I do). Realistically, I expect to be shipping orders out the first 2 weeks in May. So you can expect your orders to go out quite soon!

A look at the pins

Here's a quick photo of what the pins look like! They arrived earlier this week and I'm quite pleased with how they turned out.

We didn't sell out of the Limited Edition "Magical Castle" pin so I've made the remainder available for you in the Backerkit Add-ons. Any remaining pins will be made available to the public after June 1st.

Books are here! And More

Hi Backers,

A quick update as the books have arrived from the printer! I also received tracking information this morning from the pin manufacturer (no due date on those, as they seem to have just shipped them).

What's next for me?

While I wait for the pins to arrive, I plan to begin the initial preparations for shipping and finalizing the survey emails. I need to pick up shipping materials from my supplier and might also work ahead and sign some of these books too.

What's next for you?

Keep an eye out for the upcoming survey email here soon. I'll post another update once it is live. I prefer to send out the survey emails close to the shipping dates so there is less of a chance that your address might change between when I receive it and your package goes out.

Book Proofs Are Here! Take a Look

Hi Backers!

I hope this update finds you well. I have good news that I wanted to share in a quick update.

First off, book and pin orders were placed as soon as the Kickstarter funds hit my bank on the 2nd of March. Whew! It's always an impatient couple weeks waiting for things to clear, credit cards to be charged and failed cards to get updates etc. but we’re here and it's all good. 😅

Pins: Ordered! Since I already have proofs from the manufacturer we are only waiting for the physical pins to be created. These can take the longest to complete with an estimated 5weeks or so. I aim to have everything else (books, prints, packaging) waiting for when they arrive so we can ship out quickly after.

Books: The print proofs have arrived! After I approve these and make any changes I need, books often take just a few weeks to be printed and shipped. (less time than the pins anyway)

Book proofs: (below) here’s a glimpse at what the book will look like inside. These are unbound copies and not the final look. I use these to help find any mistakes I might have missed but also check that the color is accurate in print form.

Prints: These I will be creating here in the studio on my archival ink printer! I have some lovely fine art paper picked out I can't wait for you to see.

When to expect surveys: I would like to begin sending these before the pins arrive to give you time to fill them out, but also not so early that perhaps your address has changed. You can keep an eye out for these later this month (or early April) is my estimation. I'll know more when the books arrive. 👍

Hi Backers!

I wanted to post a very heartfelt thank you for backing yet another of my yearly art books. Each time my books go live I'm so very grateful for each of you. I can't wait for you to read this latest book and get your hands on all these extras that help make this such a fun project!

Thank you again and more soon once we get the ball rolling on fulfillment.

What's next?

I am currently finalizing the print files for the book (have to be extra sure I didn't miss any spelling errors so it's good to check twice!) and really am waiting for the project to wrap up so I can get a sample printed to test for colors here next week. Pins are already approved by my manufacturer and can go into production once I have a final count for the open edition pin orders at the end of the campaign.
